Jodi Harris

I STARTED MY BUSINESS IN:  1994

HOW IT ALL BEGAN:  A fortune teller many years ago in Atlantic City, New Jersey told me that I would be “around a lot of weddings”.  At that time of my life I was working in television production for the ABC Network and on the show ‘Live with Regis & Kathie Lee’ never thinking I would ever be in the special event industry and around weddings.  I was producing, along with our team, LIVE television segments with celebrities.

Fast forward, I met my husband, Patrick (a wedding DJ at that time), moved to Southern California where I worked with MTV in Universal City, California on the Video Music Awards and Rock N’ Jock shows.  In 1994 I left California to open Sight & Sound Events in Las Vegas with my husband.  Today Sight & Sound Events with our team of DJs, live entertainers, photographers and videographers produce over 300 fun and memorable events a year.  You’ll find Sight & Sound on the preferred partner list of many of the biggest Las Vegas hotels.

MY FAMILY:  I married my husband Patrick in 1994 where we eloped to Las Vegas.  Then in 1995 surrounded by our friends and family had the big New York Italian wedding.  We have two dogs Bingo (5) and Champ (4).

MY DREAM EVENT:  Working with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

3 WORDS THAT DESCRIBE MY STYLE:  Fun, colorful and open to anything!

SOMETHING ABOUT ME THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW:  I’m a journal junkie!  I have lots of notebooks for everything as inspiration is always around me.  I believe that magic is all around us.

ADVICE TO THOSE PLANNING EVENTS:  Find someone who cares about you and your event.  You’ll also have to put a lot of trust in that someone so make sure you like and trust them.  I’d like to be that someone.
